
Here are the three śloka which inspired me to write my first children book.
They are from Bhāgavata Purāṇa (skandha 10, adhyāya 8, śloka 35, 36, 37).
As the book was written in English, I translated them to English too.
One thing to keep on mind when we read this Purāṇa, is what I wrote here.
So enjoy them and put your imagination to fly…

35.
नाहम् भक्षितवानम्ब सर्वे मिथ्याभिशंसिनः
यदि सत्यगिरस्तर्हि समक्षं पश्य मे मुखम
nāham bhakṣitavānamba sarve mithyābhiśaṁsinaḥ
yadi satyagirastarhi samakṣaṁ paśya me mukham
Mãe, eu não comi (terra), todos (fazem) falsa acusação,
se a fala (é) verdade, veja a minha boca com seus olhos.
Mom, I have not eaten (earth), all they (do) false accusation,
if the speech (is) true, see my mouth before the eyes.
36.
यद्येवं तर्हि व्यदेहीत्युक्तः स भगवान् हरिः
व्यादत्ताव्याहतैश्वर्यः क्रीडामनुजबालकः
yadyevaṁ tarhi vyadehītyuktaḥ as bhagavān hariḥ
vyādattāvyāhataiśvaryaḥ krīḍāmanujabālakaḥ
“Neste caso, abra bem (a sua boca)” – dito assim – Ele, o Glorioso Hari,
abriu sem impedir sua opulência, (como) brincadeira de criança humana.
“In this case, open (your mouth) wide” – said so – He, the Glorious Hari,
opened it without impeding (his) opulence, (like) human child game.
37.
सा तत्र ददृशे विश्वं जगत् स्थास्नु च खं दिशः
साद्रिद्वीपाब्धिभूगोलं सवाय्वग्नीन्दुतारकम
sā tatra dadṛśe viśvaṁ jagat sthāsnu ca khaṁ diśaḥ
sādridvīpābdhibhūgolaṁ savāyvagnīndutārakam
Ela viu lá (dentro da boca) todo (o universo) móvel e imóvel, as direções,
o céu, montanha, ilha, oceano, o hemisfério terrestre, vento, fogo, lua, estrela.
She saw there (within the mouth) every movable and unmovable (universe),
the directions, sky, mountain, island, ocean, the Earth hemisphere, wind, fire, moon, star.
